Internet coupons not doubled at KUHN's

I just got back from Kuhn's in Pittsburgh (the one on Banksville Rd). Went in for specific items - some I had internet coupons for the items. They have a sign that says that they only take face value on internet coupons. Now that I know that I will watch and not use them there. I ended up spending five dollars more than I expected there because of the coups. I was able to find MFG coupons in my file that I could substitute or it would have been more of a difference. I said that it was a $5 difference from what I expected to say and the clerk said "well you got a lot of stuff for that $19 so you should be happy with that..." I told the clerk and the bagger that I work very hard at couponing to save money to feed my family on a 30% pay cut. I told them it is totally justifiable and that they get the money back for the coupons from the MFG. The clerk said only the face value to which I said but that is your ploy (the doubles) to get shoppers in there. It was not a heated discussion nor was there any malice on either side. They were still very nice but I just dont like that attitude that I should be happy with what they will give me on my coupons. Know what I mean? I am not trying to get over on anyone but I am trying to maximize my savings.

The clerk at Wags today gave me a hard time and said something to the same effect when she took the coupons off the wrong way and the wags coups wouldnt work right. This clerk is usually pretty nice and I think she was having a bad day.

Could it have been possible that the internet Q's specifically said "Do not double" on them? I know that the Kuhn's stores near me REALLY scrutinize every coupon you hand them....looking for that verbage.

I've had a similiar problem, but mine was because they said "Do Not Double" not because they were internet Q's.

I just did my Kuhn's run...the cashier originally did not double my Ip. I asked her about it and she took it over to the office. When she came back, she doubled the coupon.

She stated that most IP coupons state on them "Do Not Double". And I said, "Yes, I know. But this coupon does not state that anywhere"...which is (I guess) why they doubled it.

The sign at the register says FACE VALUE ON INTERNET COUPONS only. Doesnt matter whether it is not a DND. That is that store's policy.
The moon store doesnt have the same policy posted. They have doubled. I was there last week.
