QUESTION Costco ~ What do you buy...

At costco...that saves you money over the regular chain stores in your area?

The things I buy are Kirkland Allergy pills, Miralax, TP, Oreida Fries and Bagged lettuce. I find these items are generally cheapest at Costco.

I always get the following at Costco b/c they're almost always better than what I can get even with Qs at my grocery store:
-Vitamins and Medicine like Tylenol and Motrin
-Kirkland diapers & wipes
-Formula
-Laundry & Dish detergent
-Paper plates & cups
-Canned tomatoes
-Olive Oil and Vinegar
-Starbucks Coffee
-Splenda Packets
-Dairy products like milk, butter, cheese & yogurt
-Canned Sodas
-Sometimes their meats when I'm feeling "spendy" b/c the quality is WAY better than the grocery store meats but it's a bit more expensive.
HTH

I find that the bigger Marcal TP packages are usually cheaper at local grocers than Costco (per roll cost).

We usually get:
frozen boneless, skinless, chicken breast
Large white eggs (about $1/doz)
spinach
raw almonds (3lb bag for around $10)
olive oil
kirkland allergy medicine (similar to sudafed)

Used to get:
country kitchen light wheat bread's a good deal, $2 less than grocers for 2 loaves

I love Costco.
I typically buy:
Milk (right now it's $1.99 a gallon)
butter
water
eggs
And on the weekends they have kiosks for seafood - I get 3lbs Tiger Prawns for $33 total. Not bad, it gives us 3 meals for the weekend.

Frozen Hamburgers
Frozen Chicken Wings, Pop Corn Chicken

WOOT!! My first post!!!

For me, Costco is great for:

Gas (In my town, their's is always cheapest)

Fresh produce (Excellent quality, selection and great prices)

Dog and Cat Food (Kirkland brands rock!!!)

Coffee (Kirkland's 100% Columbian, excellent)

Milk (Their regular price here is currently $2.49/gallon. Wish I could decently freeze it.)

Laundry detergent, fabric softener, dishwashing detergent (again, all Kirkland's brand and all really good stuff)

Fresh Meat (Their meat department is a work of art. Here they are much cheaper than the grocery stores but their meat looks like the top grade stuff you have the butcher slice special for you.)

Balsamic Vinegar
Honey Bunches of Oats
Yogurt (on coupon)
Ground Turkey Meat
Cashew Nuts
Pillows ($10.00 for two, or I think it was on coupon, so $8.00 for two)

Similar to the others:
Milk (very cheap compared to store and I don't have to wait for a sale)
Eggs
Bottled Water
Gas
Produce (Lettuce, Fruit in season)
Allergy Medicine (Generic for benedryl $3.19 for 400 pills)

Ooh, and I got stamps today, still priced before the increase.
