Children's Place ~ 1.99-2.99 clearance racks!!

hey all-

i was in the opry mills mall today and they had about 10 racks of all kinds of clothes for 1.99 - 2.99!!! My husband was like oh my god.. I didn't know they sold clothes this cheap now! Haha we stocked up for the neices/nephews for this winter.

Went yesterday to Arundel Mills and they had the same, plus .99 leggings and tights, hats, scarves for girls, although those were going quickly. Some of the shirts will probably go to .99 so I'm holding off on buying some of them.

If the shirts are all $1.99-$2.99, get them now! Those items are usually not marked down to $.99 until it has been 6 seasons after they were introduced, when they are long gone unless the store has poor stockroom management. So if they are from this winter, it would be until we put out our fall stuff (in July) until they are down to $.99. (Each of the 4 seasons is 2 seasons worth of clothing). Plus, inventory goes down very quickly even when items are all $4.99, and extremely fast when there are $1.99-2.99 sales. Sometimes there are exceptions, but based on past clearances, there will be little to no items left when corporate marks them down to $.99.

My store always has tons of .99 racks and I've been shopping there for years. I'm sure it's the exception, the manager once told me they get stock from other stores in the area that aren't selling well. Like the velvet style tops that are $1.99 now, went down to .99 last year and they had an entire wall. In September they had a massive wall of tie dyed tops/tanks/bottoms. It's not all of the stuff, but I can figure based on the last 4 or 5 years what has gone down lower and buy based on that.

I have never seen a $0.99 rack... however, I went to my first CP outlet today. OMG - it is really hard to push a stroller in a store crowded with racks and even more strollers. I was like a little kid in there - I did manage to find a few things for DD, but I was looking for the 12 month size and that was extremely hard to find. They had smaller - 6 month and under, and a ton of 2T and over. Not a whole in between.

The ribbed velour tops/bottoms for baby-toddler girl are now .99 at the Arundel Mills MD location. I went today and they had about 4 full racks and two half wall displays of them, but people were buying them fast so the bigger sizes may be the first to go. They didn't have too many pants left, it was mostly the tops, but all the colors/prints.
