    2/15 - 2/21 deals

Free item: 2 packages of Scott Extra Soft 4-pack TP
This is an awesome freebie - its a money maker if you have either of these coupons. You could use 2 of them.
.75/1 or $1/1 coupons from the 2-8 inserts. There also is a "suppressed" printable in the database for $1/1 (whatever that means)
    Truckload: Hunt's 28-oz tomatoes - $1 each
    (printable link ) Hunt's Canned Tomato Products 11 oz + $1.00/3
there are also insert coupons for these too. and note that these are very large cans of tomatoes!

A couple other good deals I got this morning:

The harvest bread (I think that's the name) by the produce has tags for $2.00 off produce when you buy the bread. So I bought 2 loaves of bread for $4.50 and got free apple and 2 free bags of lettuce.

Glucerna cereal is $4.89 and if you got the $5.00/1 q's you can get free cereal.

Coke products are on sale 4/$12.00 with a Cashwise in-store q. If you got the Nabisco coupon book from a few weeks ago there were $1.00/1 12 packs in the back of the book. I used 4 of these so got 4 12 packs of diet coke for $8.00.

So I did my trip today. I had $34 + of FC items. A friend gave me her frosted flakes magnet mailer q, so I wanted to ring out first with those items, and pay for the remaining items seperately and use the cat. The cashier (who has been there for quite some time) was very helpful and even suggested I break it into 2 $25s so I could get more TP. Since SHE suggested it, I decided to.

Then on the second order, I handed her my coupons for the TP ( I only had 2 mfr q's) she tells me "oh, we dont take coupons on the free items" I told her they always have and I've done it many times. She says they used to but this changed a long, long time ago, waving her hand in the air... So not wanting to make a fuss (afterall, she let me get 2 free items) I gave up. Then she holds up my cat from the FC items from the first order and says "here, but you can use this instead - $3 is better than $1.50" And I'm thinking... "ya, but I should be able to use BOTH!"

So I go to start bagging... and then I see she seperated the FC chips between the two orders (they were BOGO at $3.69 a PIECE). Not really a deal but I needed ot pick them up for this weekend. SO I paid $7.38 for 2 measly bags of Food Club chips. Grr. And of course, since she gave me the extra Fflakes and TP I feel like I shouldn't complain. AND I got an extra $1 cat that I wasn't expecting, so maybe I'm ahead.

Funny thing when she tried to justify my 2 orders - she said "wow, you did good! Look here -- $16.68 and $11.97... you saved enough!"

I thought how can you tell me if I saved enough or not. Arg.
    ----------------------------------

On the bright side, I found some goodies while I was shopping that I wanted to share.

In the organic section, there was a tearpad for $2/2 Organic Valley products

And at the organic desk, there was a basket of little bookelts (about 3x5 newsprint ones) that were called "Snowing Winter Savings 2009" I had never seen them before. They are very similar to the "Go Organic for Earth Day" booklets last year, filled with mfr coupons good mostly till june or so. I'll try to get them added to the database tomorrow.

I also noted that the Ronzoni Bistro packets are still .99 (free w/ IP - and there is a BOGO insert coupon out there as well)

Pizza Rolls were $1 a box, so were regular lunchables

And I saw some kind of peelie on some batteries for $1 off (one of the name brands, I forgot)lithium batteries. --I had to run and get something while I was checking out, hence the lack of information.

have a good week, thanks for the vent!
