Redbox great customer service
I received a free DVD rental with the Monday promo. We started watching the DVD and found it was scratched, played poorly. We even kept it an extra day hoping to finish it but we couldn't. Called the customer service # and received great service. They even gave us 2 new promo codes. They said that they would check out the condition of the DVD when the box is serviced.

That is good to know. we had a DVD that was not the greatest (although not bad enough to call CS) Now I know what to do if it comes up again. Thanks!

I love Redbox. I was a bit skeptical at first because I don't like anything that I have to swipe my credit card with but have had no problems. I went to Blockbuster one day and didn't realize that DVDS were $5 to rent. Yes, that's for a longer time period but I figure if I want to rent a movie I will watch it that night anyways. It's good to know that the customer service is great!

Can someone explain how to use Redbox? Isn't there a free code every Monday? Thanks for the info!

You can have the code text mailed to your cell phone (must have text service). Otherwise someone will post it here tomorrow Monday.
Also if you join insiderebox.com they will e-mail it to you.
The code is only good for that Monday.
You can not reserve the movie from their website in advance for a promo code.
You should make sure you fill in your e-mail when screen asks during check out so that they can send you confirmation of free rental & receipt when returned.
They will hold $1 on your acct until returned on Tues by night.
Check you return some are 7 PM or 9PM
Afterward you will get a credit of $1 on your account.
You need a cc or debit card to check out.
You can use the 1 day code multiple times for each cc or debit card you have.
For example 1 debit card - 1 free rental, 4 cc cards & debit - 4 rentals
Each code use must be done as a separate transactions/purchase.

Thanks for the link. I still have another question.....do I need to sign up online before renting at the kiosk or do you do that at the store? Since I would probably try to rent for "free" I would not be renting online, correct? Thanks so much!

No just do it on the spot. You will be in the system after your first promo or rental. If you sign on to their site tonite. You can ask for a free promo code that is a one time use. To be used anytime not just Monday. They will send it to your e-mail.
