Wow! that's not a bad deal.
I'm not a regular Hen house shopper, but did check the ad online and found a good quaker deal for this week:
buy 5 quaker products get $3 off
quick oats: .99
quaker cereal 1.98
quaker instant oatmeal 1.98
granola bars or bites 1.98
quick grits .98
instant grits 1.98
oatmeal squares cereal 1.98
aunt jemima pancake mix or syrup $2
tropicana oj 2.50
dole juice 2.50
I'm going to buy the captain crunch (my kids love it)
5 boxes $9.90 - 5 .50 coupons from insert doubled to $1 = $4.90 - $3 instant coupon= $1.90 for 5 boxes!!
HTH!!
Wow! that's not a bad deal.
If your happy and you know itand
Eat, Drink, Laugh and be Happy... Then go
The only problem with the Captain Crunch deal is that HeN House coupon policy is that they will only double 2 like coupons. They have it posted at each register. At least the one in Lees Summit does. Every once in a great big while I might be able to slip through the cracks and get away with it but tonight I tried the very same deal and it was a no go on all 5 doubling. Good lUck.
Did the deal yesterday!! I went to the hen house on 64th street and stocked up! Not only did they double all my coupons but there is no limit!! I bought 15 boxes of cereal and 5 boxes of instant oatmeal for less than $8!! I would have got more but I didn't bring all of my coupons!! It was a great deal!
Which varieites of Instant Oatmeal packets are included in the sale?
I have a lot of coupons for the High Fiber, Lower Sugar, etc.
Thanks for posting this. I just figured out my scenario:
.99 18 oz regular oats
.99 18 oz regular oats
1.98 Oatmeal Squares
1.98 Oatmeal Squares
1.98 Cap'n Crunch
=7.92
-.60 Quaker Oats 1/4 SS
-.60 Quaker Oats 1/4 SS
-.50 Oatmeal Squares 1.4 SS (doubles)
-.50 Oatmeal Squares 1/4 SS (doubles)
-.50 Cap'n Crunch 1/4 SS (doubles)
=$3.72- $3.00 WYB 5 = .72 for 5 packages of cereal!
We'll be eating oats for a loooong time
2 Oatmeal Squares at 1.98 =
hmmm...that's what the cashier meant when he said, "and another register that doesn't beep" I didn't realize there was a limit on like coupons (I'll admit-I've never read the policy except the big double coupon sign on the front of the building.) I guess if you're in Lee's Summit you can try lane 6-that's where I was.
I went yesterday and the High Fiber and Lower Sugar varieties were also $1.98. Also included the Simple Harvest, and I had $1.00 coupons which were going to expire 1/31 so I was happy to use them.
I used more than one of the same coupon - I bought three boxes of the Oatmeal Squares and used three .50 coupons.
However, I purchased 10 Quaker items in my transaction (doing the deal x2) so maybe that's why it worked. I'm so happy I got 10 cereals for CHEAP!
Will go back again today and get more, though I don't know where I'm going to store it all.
