Bath & Body Works ~ $10 Gift Card AND $10 off $30?

Can I use my $10 off $30 coupon or free item coupon (from the holiday booklet) AND get a $10 gift card for spending $30?

I was in the store yesterday and the deal with getting the $10 giftcard was having a $30 purchase before tax and not using any other coupons. I asked if I could use a $10 off 30 and a freebie coupon and still get the deal if I made it to $30 before the coupons and they said no.

So does that mean you could spend $40 minus the $10/30 coupon and get the $10 GC? I know they almost never allow for combining of coupons but if one is a promotion maybe it would work?

I work at BBW and it just depends on which screen the cashier enters the coupon on...we only allow one coupon per transaction, but if it's a promotion when you spend so much it is usually BEFORE coupons. I work at the one in Springfield,MO
