So I'm looking at the stuff on sale and I had this crazy idea. I was thinking if I bought the wreath, the poinsettia garland and the pretty satin nickel curtain holdbacks with the white tops, attach one of the holdbacks to the outside wall, wrap the garland around the wreath, for less than $30 I would have a simple wreath and wreath holder.

There are some pink ribbon t-shirts in several sizes and colors for $9.99 or less and some iron-on decorative patches for $2.49 or less. So for less than $15 (thinking tax) you could have a unique and interesting Christmas tee for next Christmas!

Ok, another idea. Take the wide french basswood placket shown here Pine Plaques - Many Styles! stained it with cherry minwax and attached one of these http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.j...DID=xprd560997 to hang on the wall as a coat/hat/purse holder. I wonder if the plaque is big enough?

My JoAnn had a small assortment of Sizzix items on clearance. I don't remember what all they had, but I purchased a set of Texturz plates for $3.97 (3 double-sided plates) and a Texturz Starter Kit for $7.97 (3 double-sided plates, silicone rubber pad & 2 Impressions pads, I believe) plus the 15% educator discount. I thought this was a great deal, since the pads that came in the Starter Kit normally retail for around $5 a piece.
I'm becoming known as "Coupon Queen" at my local Safeway! I must be doing something right!!
Check out the bead/jewelry-making area at your store. In amongst the different brands, there are red clearance tags. Sometimes you really have to bend down to see them all, but it's worth it - many things were marked down to 2.97, 1.97 and .97! I got a gold Scrimp screwdriver thingy with 10 crimps for 2.97, reg 11.99. Several links, clasps & drops from the Jill Mackay collection, several Swarovski clasps & beads & spacers from Jolee's Jewels, lots of Metal chain, beads & findings from Beyond Beautiful (lead & nickel free. Yay!), and Dress It Up beads, stones and beaded chain were only 97 cents!!
Workin' hard for the deals in a land of 'sometimes' doubles.
