FYI $.99 Stores, in TX, closing Nov. 30th

The $.99 Stores, in Texas, are closing on Nov. 30th.

I was just told by one of the cashiers. She told me that they came back to work the Tuesday after Ike. The next day, they were told about the closing. She said that there was a little notice in this past Monday's paper, but it didn't explain things clearly.

I just read an article about this. They have 48 stores in TX and all are closing. I'm going to miss getting my Early Sunday edition on Sat for $.99.

I hate to see the employees going through this, too.

I asked the cashier if she had a plan for future employment. She's only worked there for one month, and was planning to look for something better anyway. She said that she knows that G-d will take care of things, and that she just needs to find something faster than she anticipated.

    That was refreshing to hear.
