You earn $25 gymbuck for every $50 spent during gymbuck earning. During this time always use a 20% off coupon so you get more for your $50 (I always buy clearance during earning so I get more). Then during gymbuck redemption you can use 1 gymbuck for every $50 you spend making your OOP $25 (you can't use 20% coupon with your gymbucks). Some people sell their gymbucks usually for $7-$8 each so you can always try that route if you don't earn any. I don't think you earn gymbucks at the outlet but I may be wrong. I find better deals at the regular stores than I do the outlets.

i usually shop when i have a coupon and there's a promo going on like the Back to School Sale or Baby Sale, something like that. I try and wait until the item I want goes on sale, which it usually does as soon as a new line comes out and I use a coupon then too. I also take full advantage of Gymbucks when they are available. I love that I can resell Gymbo for what I paid...sometimes more if I put it up on ebay!

OK I have never really shopped Gymboree that much in the past. I think I always assumed it was way over priced. But I have been online and now I have fallen in love with way to much for my two boys. What would be the best way to purchase the items that I want at the very best price? I know that COF is tomorrow and I do have a 6yr old and I know that the baby sale is Sept.3 also is there a labor day sale? I guess I am wondering if all the new line stuff makes it to mark down. Should I wait till they reach 50% off or do I purchase at Baby Sale and use a 20% q. I know that most items will be priced at $10 or $20. Is that really the best price? Fall for us doesn't really hit till October. So I am in no hurry to have to buy. What is everyone else going to do? Especially how and when are you going to purchase new Line and do you feel like it is alot oop when doing gymbucks. It sounds like in the end after redeeming them I would be out $75.00 is that right? Sorry for all the questions but I am so excited and will rep anyone who is willing to try and answer my questions.

Everything almost always makes it to the first markdown, IME.
Exceptions being very "hot" items (and sometimes there's no real way of predicting this), and during Gymbucks redemption.

I rarely buy full price, unless it's Gymbucks redemption. :)

COF is usually a pretty good deal. :)

Default Re: How do YOU save money at Gymboree?

Last year for Labor Day weekend we did an extra 20% off all previously marked down merchandise. I haven't heard for sure, but I won't be surprised to see that again this year.

By my math, the 10/15/20 sale averages about a 20% discount (there are some hot exception - shoes and raincoats, for instance), so using your 20% coupon on top of that is a 36% total discount - better than the 30% CoF.

Buuuuut... as mentioned above, we do tend to sell out of items, so if there's a specific piece you can't live without you'd best get it early. Also, the 10/15/20's don't include Gymmies, and CoF is easily the best deal we do all year on those. Hope that helps!

Hey ladies
I have a question as someone who doesn't shop Gymboree often. Can I combine a 20% coupon with the 30% COF discount? My sister got her email reminder of the 30% sale and we were going to order together online to save on shipping because our stores here stink for clearance anyway. I already saw some cute things online for my dd for next year.

Thanks in advance!

You can't use a coupon with COF, as it is considered a coupon. :)
(That would be nice, eh? :D)

It does help that you earn Gymbucks. :) So I bought $80 worth online for $60 or so including shipping and got a $25 Gymbucks, so that was nice.
