I don't know that they will do this again any time soon. But at the end of January they had a sale where all the winter merchandise from a certain line back was $4.99 or less. I probably spent a little over $300 but that was for about 75 items, probably 55-60 pieces of clothing, then shoes and other accessories. I even picked up two pairs of pajamas for myself for $.99 EACH!

I am dreaming of a summer sale like this again.

oh gymbucks can be VERY worthwhile if you buy markdowns to earn them and buy markdowns to spend them.

that is how you save money buying gymboree.

I paid full retail only for a couple things, all part of the Newborn Baby Boy line (the whales) my SIL just has to have. (She would pick something that barely ever seems to go on sale.)

There are all sorts of ways to make Gymbucks work for you, but a lot of it depends on the time you're willing to put into it (i.e. being online at the right time, being willing to go to a store or two, etc). Of course it also depends on whether you LIKE what's on sale/offered at the time. :) Last year, there was very little I liked at Gymboree. This year, I love it all!

I got addicted to Gymboree a little over a year ago. Before then I was buying one or two random pieces here or there and never really got a great deal. Now that I know how to shop there I think Target clothes are ridicuolously expensive and the quality sucks in comparison to Gymbo!

I do not buy Gymbo online because I can always find more and better deals in store and I don't have to pay the shipping. Since I moved out to the middle of nowhere my closest Gymbo store is an hour drive away so I can't just drop by all the time. I do go for all of the major sales though. Since I don't get their coupons mailed here I buy them on ebay. I usually pay $1 to $2 shipped for one and it is well worth it to me.

Don't ever pay full price for Gymbo. I will not buy anything unless it is at least 50% off, preferably more like 80% off. I will buy the pieces I really LOVE at 50% because chances are they will be gone soon. Then I fill in with matching pieces and accessories later when they go even lower. I almost always find the matching hair things and socks etc for at least 70% later, so I always wait on those. I buy at least one season ahead so I have plenty of time to fill in with more pieces.

I look at the new stuff, but I shop only from the clearance rack. For the big sales, I make sure I am there on the first day when they open for best selection. If you live close to a Gymbo store you can go the day before the sale and put things on hold to get the next day. Too bad I can't do that anymore. I used make my round to three stores the day before the sale and put things on hold, then go back the next day and look again because they always get returns and I already knew what I had on hold so I could put together outfits and accessories to match.

Gymboree also sells well on ebay and at consignment sales so I am able to make back a lot of the money I spend there.

My favorite sale was last year when baby sale and labor day sale were overlapping, plus I had a 20% off coupon, gymbo visa discount and they were issuing gymbucks on top of that! They were also clearancing lots of accessories at that time and I stocked up on socks and undies for under $1 for the cute ones.

Target is a great deal if you can find cloths at 90% off. My son has a large pile of shorts for a $1/each.

Gymboree's 2nd hand worth has decreased. The increasing cost of gas and food makes this company a luxury.

I don't know about that, I mean I see 2nd hand Gymboree go for a small fortune on eBay depending on the line. I think any decline we may see on that is probably on eBay's fault.

My children are slim, so I always buy 1-2 sizes larger than they wear. Since the bottoms of Gymboree have elastic waistbands, they are easy to take in and let out. Never pay full price...and last but not least: EBAY!

I have been a gymbo addict for 8 years. I'll be so sad when my daughter gorws out of their stuff. I don't mind paying the extra for the quality at all though. I sell her outgrown clothes on ebay and I have always made out great especially on winter coats/snowpants and on holiday dresses. I love the plum coupons and even sell them on ebay myself. Gymbohaven.com is a great place to check out to. They send you the line pictures before they come out and you can figure out if you want something from that line before it's even in the store. I love that!

I have never paid full price for Gymbo and always use the 20% off coupons that are always floating around (there is a new plum coupon out good until 11/30 so you can use it on Black Friday and this month there are 2 in the Parenting magazine). Also you can resell other places besides Ebay. I sell on Gymbofriends and get a good portion of my money back. I have found that if I shop at the sales it's ALOT cheaper than even Walmart and it lasts longer and resells good.

Hi, Can someone explain how gymbucks work? I'd like to get good deals but am lost when it comes to Gymboree. I do have an outlet about 20 min away. I'd appreciate any help. When do they have the sales?
