Children's Place ~ Does TCP have a certain day for new sales/markdowns?

Last year, I bought uniform outfits for my son at TCP. I think they were b1g1 (free or 1/2 off - can't remember). I need all new cool weather items (polos, oxfords, vests and sweaters). Some things are on sale now, but I'm wondering if there will be an even better deal after Labor Day. I'm not desperate - he has enough short sleeve items to last until it gets cold out, but I don't want to wait too long or everything will be sold out. Any info would be appreciated!

I work at TCP, but now I'm only "per diem"--I moved to another city but still go back to work at TCP when I visit my family, so I haven't been there in about a month so I can't say for sure, but...
Tuesdays and Wednesdays are almost always our markdown days. I haven't checked the prices today, but if more items didn't go on sale today, check next week on Tues. or Wed. I would guess either next week or the week after is when TCP will put our whole store on sale pretty much.
You did mention not wanting things to get sold out--on that note, I will tell you the company isn't sending as much replenishment to the stores anymore because customers wouldn't buy stuff until it went on sale & they want to get customers out of that habit for some reason, so what I would advise is buy the things you LOVE now, and go back when they are on sale, see if your size is still available, buy it again, and return the original later and get a full refund. (I hope that makes sense). We do price adjustments, but only if you paid the original full price and it went on sale w/in 14 days.

Thanks you very much! That does help. I already bought the items I needed, but did not know there was a price adjustment period. I'll be sure to keep my receipt and check prices mid-week.

I also work at TCP, so I will add that our district marks down items on Thursdays (usually).

Would anyone who works in a clothing store give me an answer to this question.
What day does the merchandise come in and when is it put on the racks for sale? I always knew that on Mondays and tuesdays the merchandise has some slim pickins but seems bythe weeend, the store is full again,
What is standard protocol?

At TCP we get shipments every day of the week except Sat. and Sun. if it is within a month or so of a new floorset. We also get replenishment shipments most days. At my store, we put out the new product as we get it, or on floorset day. There is a floorset day set by corporate, but each store can put out their new floorset product whenever they have all the product processed and want to put it out. Each store is different. As far as TCP goes, just ask if they have something in the back, they probably do!
