I have a vending business so I switched to Sam's and haven't renewed with Costco. Costco also messed up one of the lug nuts and didn't change my valve stems like they were suppose to and didn't tell me about either BTW last time I bought 4 tires for my wife's car.
For vending supplies like bulk candy, snack items like 50 pks of chips and soda I like Sam's. They actually have for resale items or packs unlike my local Costco. Sam's also selling vending machines, etc. online and they have the same cheapo pizza and snack bar items. For me personally it's better but I used to be a Costco shopper too so I like them just not as much. My wife wants to get another card again but I can't afford both memberships.

Still loving Costco here. Their meats, produce, rotisserie chicken etc are all better priced than I can get at any of our supermarkets. Also, Tropicana OJ is actually cheaper or the same price as I can get with a sale at the supermarket and the $1/2 cpn. So I ended up deciding not to trade for the cpn.

I have to share my recent Costco story. My front loader washer died just shy of 3 years old (a Duet, and they have a bad repair history). My DH decided on a lark to go to down to Costco where we had purchased it and ask them. They told him to just bring it back and they gave us the full price back! We bought a new front loader there that was actually cheaper than the one 3 years ago and he brought home a new one. What a great experience that was. I have never had a bad experience with a return with them, but this goes above and beyond in my opinion.

Thanks to everyone for their replies, for I too was wondering if the price will be worth it! Perhaps in digital pictures, (all sizes, really cheap and in wallet sizes also- my friends rave of this perk), vitamins, computer software, books and maybe a few other things.

I love our membership, and if you keep an eye out, we got ours for 50$ but got a 25$ g.c. to Costco when we signed up. Also, they have awesome employee business practices, so I'm more prone to shopping there ;) We've definitely saved 25$ and more on things like butter and organic produce

I love Costco! I prefer it over Sams.
Five of my children go to a private school that provides not so cheap lunches; so I pack lunches everyday. I purchase large boxes of chips, yogurt, drinks, etc. for their lunches. I have yet to find these items cheaper in the quantities that I need.

I love my costco. !!! Would not give my membership away- no matter how much i saved with the coupons .
    Why i love costco ?
The things you can't get on sale - or that have no coupons- Or some things are just simply more affordable at costco- even with all the sales and coupons ( some of the things )

I love my costco- because of there true- no hassle return policy. NO mater what i purchased if for any reason i wanted to return it- no questions asked- ever !
And i can always find there great deals on furniture pieces- electronic stuff- kitchen stuff- dishes - etc always best quality best prices.

Just comparing the non-stick dishes i got from them - you get 12 pieces and pay 149 $ while at macy's and other stores for the exact same brand name you pay - " a piece "- 40-60$ ..

And we upgraded our membership couple years ago to the executive members which is about ( 100 $ i believe ?) .. but every year we get arround 120$ back ( 2% of your overall spending in one year )_ that money goes straight to renewal of the membrsh. So- no extra cost to me - pay it once and you are done with the " fee "

I don't know- i'm a coupon addict but Costco is definetely worth it to me !

For us it's all about Costco.

We don't Sam's club or any other wholesale type clubstore here.

For the money I save on my meds at the pharmacy right there it's worth it. Cheap Cheese, and some fruit and veg, not to mention the bags of real bacon bits. They also have discounted gift cards.

My family loves Costco for their unbelievable fruits. The fruits always taste great and spoil at a slower rate.

I'm impressed with the quality of their fresh meat...yes, you do need to buy larger packages, but I put the extra in the freezer.

It takes some getting used to the higher out of pocket, but the VALUE can't be beat in my opinion. Also around the holidays, they have a couple great per pound prices...just be sure to educate yourself on the current prices in your area.
