Its so hard to believe that halloween is around the corner! If you have children, do they go trick or treating?

Coupon question... Anyone watching for candy sales?

We do little bags for halloween. My daugher hands them out. I am excited. I just not sure what my kiddos are going to be this year.

One of my favorite holidays for sure! Even better because it is my twins birthday too (my own little Trick and Treat)

We do dress up and go trick or treating here but not outside because we usually have snow on the ground by Halloween but we do an indoor thing the town puts on.

I usually give out goodie bags to the door to door trick or treaters with Juice, candy, trial size toothpastes and toothbrushes. But the deals on the last two have not been so good this year so I am going to have to think of something else. Perhaps gum or pudding snacks.

And I hate to say it but I have Halloween candy from last year in my freezer from after Halloween sales....I use it for baking. Also last year I picked up tons of Halloween pencils at Walgreens for a penny each that I will put in the goodie bags.

I can't wait for Halloween! My daughter has the cutest little chick outfit and this year she is old enough to walk. Not old enough to know what Halloween is, but she knows what candy is.

Woohoo, I am getting so excited, can't wait to see those cute trick-or-treaters. Any one has experience of what's the most popular candy for treats?

Halloween Re: GENERAL DISCUSSIONS ( NON STORE SPECIFIC ) ~ Halloween 2008

Halloween has ALWAYS been my favorite holiday.
Since we have owned our house (7 years now minus a few , explanation coming) everyone in the family and many friends come here to trick or treat. The neighborhood goes all out!:halloween22: I decorate like crazy and aspire to have a real haunted house! Before we had our daughter and mostly before we had the house we went to New Orleans for Halloween. Now that is definitely an experience better than Mardi Gras in New Orleans any day, in my opinion!

Last year I stocked up on candy from CVS this year doesn't seem to be any different!

has anyone started costumes yet? We've got a jump start for dd1, no idea for dd2.

This year we're doing a reverse trick-or-treat for our friends...going to hang little "boo bags" on their doors for them to find when they come home from trick or treating. :)

Anyone see any good deals online for costumes? I haven't bought costumes after Halloween the last 2 years as they really won't commit to a costume to wear the next year, which bums me out.:frown:

I am soooo excited about Halloween! Our kids wear theme costumes every year. They come up with the theme and I make the costumes. Last year we did Christmas: Santa, Mrs. Claus, elf, reindeer and an angel. The year before was The Wizard of Oz: Dorothy, the Wicked Witch of the West, Glinda the Good Witch and Toto (we only had four kids that year!). This year they want Cinderella: Cinderella, Prince Charming, the wicked step-sisters and the Fairy Godmother. With five costumes to make this year, I am planning to start within the next few weeks.

One year someone gave out little black organza bags full of candy corn. It was tied with an orange ribbon and a tag that said PUMPKIN P**P! Can I say that on HCW? LOL It had a little poem that read:
I started to carve a pumpkin with my carving knife and scoop
But the pumpkin got so scared
    He took a little poop!
It looked so cute and funny
    Just like a candy treat
So I'm sharing it with you now
    Because you are so sweet!
