The Hartford Courant had true value coupons in the Thursday 8/7/08 paper - there was a 8$ off 30$ good on any nonsale purchase thru the 31st as well as some one day only sales (8/9/08 50% off any product - up to $50 nonsale) and some others that I don't remember - anyway - Home depot will take them as competitors qs too....
they do say at participating stores - don't know if it is just regional or not.

Do they match home depot advertised prices?

Each True Value is independently owned, so it is up to the store itself. They do not have a corporate wide policy on price matching, most can even set their prices as they choose. True Value corp. gives them a suggested retail that they can follow but do not have to do so.
