Dont forget the service plan or replacement plan when you shop there. I have saved thousands when things break--they can be fixed or replaced.
check the moving kits at the post office. The old ones had a 10% coupon that expired last month or end of this month. Even if you only find the old one, bring proof of the new address and maybe you can convince them to honor it. Also use the price match and check their online prices. They often have online only sales but will PM in store to them, plus whatever the store sale may be. We got our new vacuum for 10% off for a price match, 10% off for in store sale plus 10% for the coupon.

Ok, I worked for BB for 2 years. Here are some good and some bad things...They DO price match. PM Lowes prices for appliaces, they're typically lower. If you have the BB Credit Card, then you get your no interest for 12-18 months AND can get your reward zone points ($250 spent = 250 points = $5 Best Buy cash. If you don't have one, I'd sign up...it's free!!). Best Buy does NOT offer discount for opening a CC. However, they DO send out promos and you can sometimes get 10-12% off your purchase price. Again, you need to be a reward zone member to get these mailers. Also, haggling, really isn't going to get you anywhere unless the TV/appliance is an open box item (previous display/return). And even then, for the department to get a discount, manager approval is needed. A lot of products are becoming price protected, or the store is hurting w/ the bad economy and can't afford to to take $400 off a $2000 dollar item.
As for Black Friday, any really good, new TV that's out on the market NOW will (99% sure on this one) not be reduced. They're gonna reduce the older models, or the one's that will be replaced soon. You will probably get a better deal buy purcashing a TV around superbowl time if you want to wait that long, or, just buying a home theater system that's featured in the ad that's already discounted. Do your homework before you buy a TV though. The ones in the ad are older models sometimes too. If youre looking for a cheap basic tv, black friday is the way to go. But, you're gonna have to wait outside with 2-300 other people to get a deal.
Lastly, if you get a TV home and aren't impressed, bring it back. 30 day return policy, no restocking fees. BB will also price match their own products for their return policy. So, you've got 30 days on the TV. If it drops in price in 30 days, bring in your reciept, you'll get your $ back!
HTH!! Let me know if you have any more questions!
Yep, we're her friend who did that. We got two TV's that way for us plus some for my mom, MIL, etc. The prices are wicked solid!!!
Really, the only deal is they are floor models so maybe they are missing their remote, their packing box, etc and you have to be able to pick them up. We don't need the remote, as we use satellite/universal remote system. They also have a warehouse in CA, if I'm not mistaken!
I have had great success with getting great deals after the holidays. Especially this year with the economy where it is, the dealers are going to be wheeling and dealing. Let us know how it goes!

On Black Friday @ BB, I'd say wait until Thanksgiving day to see what is really there.
But if you can bear to wait that long, after Christmas sales will have to be crazy this year...prob more than any other year. Good advice, parkgirk!
Try to deal with one of the managers.
oh, and BB usually comes out with a friends & family around this time of year.
