Fred's Discount Store ~ Ads for Fred's???

I recently "found" a Fred's and went in to browse. I liked the doubled Q to .70 policy because no one else around here does anything close to that!

However, I can't figure out how to find out about their ads. Does ANY coupon forum list the sale items for the week (I didn't see it here on HCW)or is there a secret link to the current ad on the Fred's website? The girl at the store told me that they mail some out, but I guess not to me. I asked about a mailing list, but she didn't know.

I might start shopping there, but it's not "on my way" anywhere even though it's not far away, so I don't want to go over there just to pick up the sales flier to study/plan scenarios then go back to shop.

Any suggestions?

They do have sales flyers on their website if you aren't on the mailing list. There is one less than a mile from me so that puts on the list since we got one in the mail the other day. The website also has a link so you can sign up for their flyers.

I had no idea that Fred's doubled coupons! I need to check on that with my local store! That will make a difference in my planning for next week.

I guess when I visited the Freds website, they must have been between ads or something, but I saw the ad today when I checked back. I also signed up for the electronic ad.

I saw one deal, but I probably won't drive over there today just for that one thing, but maybe next time when I have the ad in advance, I can plan some scenarios and make some good deals!

I thought they only doubled on Saturdays? It's been a while since I've been there though, so maybe someone has more recent info.

I asked at my local store and they said they doubled up to .70. They didn't mention it only being one day. I'll double check with them again. I know one of the cashiers so I'll try to catch her one day at work at ask.

I did double check - they double on Saturday only. Still a good thing to know!

They won't take but take 1 coupon per transaction, so if you want to use 2 of the same coupon you have to do more than on transaction. At least that how they do it where I live.
