There is a Gymboree mailer with 3 coupons in it. I got one and then accidentally threw it away. Do these have unique codes?

how do you know when the redeeming period and earning periods are?
Do you have to have a card or 'membership' of some kind to get the gymbucks?

That has always confused me so I never really go into the store.

Thumbs Down re: Gymboree ~ FAQ

    I have a question/problem.

Gymboree does NOT listen. My local store has an employee issue. I've shopped in many Gymborees and Janie & Jacks with pleasant experiences, even have had fun, but my local one is the pits! It started about a year ago when the manager went on maternity leave permanently. They talk sex, drugs and partying and rarely help customers. The store employees have run a muck. I can't even count how many times I've seen a thong hanging out of too low rise jeans. Most people I know have had issues a certain employee and when they hire someone they are nice for a couple weeks then seem to become corrupted by this one girl and begin to act like wise. They recently got a new manager that actually cleaned the filthy unorganized store, but our kids are still being subjected to stories involving hooking up, drinking, drugs and an hour long conversation with a non-employee about someone's friend want to work there because Gymboree pays $8.50 an hour. I've even been told to wait to check out, because her friends were at the counter making plans to go out that night, after her wanting to hook up with this guy because the friend did the weekend before and he is good but the guy wrecked his car because he was too drunk and high, so they don't know if he was going out that night. Needless to say I left.

I'm also a member of a gymboree fan message board and everyone on the site from the area has complained about this one bad apple. We've complained to gymbo listens and customer service. I've even applied for the store manager position, hoping to make this store enjoyable again, secretly glad they never called, since I enjoy being a SAHM. The good part is that they've chased all the customers away so there is always a good quantity in stock, bad thing is your kids have to be exposed to rude people and inappropriate conversations. I don't want them to think promiscuous sex, drinking and drugs are cool.

My question would be.....what do we do? How would we contact a district or area manager? What can be done so that I can have a great shopping experience?

I would keep up with writing Gymboreelistens!!! I used to work at a Gymbo, and I know that ALL reports are sent not only to the store but also the the district manager!!! I don't see why this problem would be ignored if it has been brought to their attention. Here is the CS number, try calling them. Ask for the district manager to contact you about the problem. I'm sorry your team menbers are so out of line, Gymboree is very "customer service" driven so this really surprises me!

Our Customer Service Team is available at:
    1-877-4-GYMWEB (1-877-449-6932)
    Mon - Fri: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. (PT)
    Sat: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.(PT)
    Sun: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.(PT)

Currently the Gymboree employee discount is 40% or the sale price, whichever is better. We also have several times a year where employees get 50% off regular-priced merch and 30% off sale merch (we did that for almost 6 weeks last holiday season).

Gymboree employees get free Gymboree classes at Gymboree-owned Play & Music locations, and a 30% reimbursement at franchised P&M's.

We get a 30% discount at Janie & Jack. Right now only Crazy 8 employees get a discount at Crazy 8 (we did the same thing with J&J its first year while production got into full swing), but that should open up to all Company employees next year.

For employees working 20 hours a week or more we have a 401k that's Company-matched (in cash, not stock!) to 4%. Best part is, it's fully vested from day 1 you enroll. Nice.

For full-time employees there's a host of really great benefits. All the standard ones you'd expect (medical coverage, life insurance, etc), but we also have adoption assistance, pet insurance, financial planning, legal assistance and counseling, identity theft protection, discounted stock purchase plan (stock is up 50% since New Year's] ) and lots of other cool ones.

And, of course, there's the commraderie of the Gymboree family. That and we just got name one of BusinessWeek magazines Hot 50 Companies (#10 - highest ranked specialty retailer on the list!). Alright, now I'm just bragging us.

Do Crazy 8 employees get a discount at Gymboree also or just at Crazy 8?

Most likely only durring employee appreciation. That's how it was when I was with Gymbo., almost 2 years ago.
