Dollar tree tribune couponer RANT!!!!

I don't know who I am angrier at, the store or the couponer who keeps doing it. For 3 weeks now, I have gone to the Dollar Tree and have had a problem getting inserts in my Chicago Tribunes. Last week there were 3 papers left that had them and a bunch that had the inserts removed. This week ALL the papers that were left had the inserts removed.

I asked the cashier while buying my local paper and other stuff if there were inserts in the Trib. She just looked at me and said "yeah". I explained that I usually come in and buy at least 5 tribs a week and other stuff and I WASN'T buying any this week because they had let someone walk off with them. She just shrugged! No concern, no apologies, no customer service, just the robotic "have a nice day" in a monotone voice.

I am not going back to that DT anymore! I usually spend at least $10-15 every Sunday in there and they don't need my $500-600 a year in sales I guess so that they can let someone else walk out the door without paying for something I WOULD have paid for. Luckily, it was a week where I didn't need the Qs in the paper and I have at least 2 other DT's to choose from. I drive 20 miles to get my papers and I'm glad I have other options because it was EXTREMELY dissapointing to get there this morning and come out with less than expected.

I'm half tempted to go next week and buy every single Trib as soon as they open just to irritate whoever has been irritating me for the last 3 weeks, but then I'd be giving that DT more money and they won't get another single dime of mine.

is there a possibility that store personnel are the ones taking out the inserts? I find it strange that they don't care even when you told them you're not buying this week because the inserts are missing.

if it was me, I'll make sure to check the inserts are intact before I pay for the papers. I'd choose to not get aggravated over inserts and buy it somewhere else.

I am getting the impression that my Dollar Tree is getting the 'end' of the newspaper supplies, the sales ads seem to vary in each paper, though I admit several times mine has house double or triples of the coupons (that's how they were in the paper, not me pulling from other papers)

Depends on the employee many do not care even if they'll see someone taking out these inserts, never mind did it themselves. Sometimes I see a stack of Sunday papers with no inserts at all: no store fliers, ads, coupons, etc. Due to the fact these are delivered separately and has to be placed inside of every paper by store employees, I think they just do not care to do it.

I always check my paper if it has all coupons it suppose to have. Even when I had to buy a paper from their office Monday afternoon it happened to have inserts missing, so I ask the clerk to replace it.

Hmm. I had a similar experience at Dollar Tree on Addison yesterday. Don't know if that is the same DT you went to. Some papers had inserts, some did not. I also saw some of the insert packages ripped open. DT is just not run well and the employees don't care. There were a group of kids opening every goodie bag to see what was inside as well.

Was the whole plastic bag missing or just the coupon inserts?
And also, did you know Dollar Tree has the Sunday Trib on Saturday? Maybe next week you could beat whoever has been stealing them?
