Wow! Why is it so cheap? I wonder if they are coming out with a new model? I got one of those a couple of years ago but mine doesn't have the thing to hold the top on.

I have taken a Crock-pot with me many times and even though I fear the lid coming off, it never has. I just get a box slightly larger than the pot then line it with some foil and a towel. I put the pot in and then bring the edges of the towel up over the top.

The towel helps to insulate it and also sop up any spills. And the foil prevents any spills from going through the box. But that has never happened.
