If you paid for 1, I think it is only right to keep 1. I am sure that amazon will pay the shipping to return the second one you received, back to them.
I need your advice- I bought an item from Amazon.Com upon purchase I was to recieve a credit which I did not, after 4 hours on the phone begging pleading and crying I got my credit. After that the item I purshased did not show up when amazon said it would so I was shipped one next day, I did recieve it the very next day. Today I received the original item, so now I got two, the second one they shipped out at zero cost so I was not charged for it.
OK so now what do I do??? This is a fairly expensive item around $500.00 and I had such a hassle getting it in the first place I do not want to call amazon and have them tell me to ship it back then I might have to pay shipping or even explaining what happened could be confussing. BUT on the other hand I am feeling guilty about keeping it. Should I return it, keep it, sell it, gift it, or donate it?????
Please Help![]()

I would send it back also.

This happened to me with some stuff I bought online, I called them and told them and they said to keep it since they made a mistake
I overlooked the most important part of this post.
My item was like...less than 25.
it was some t-shirts
You won't have to pay shipping. Call them and explain the problem. They'll send you a sticker in the mail or via e-mail to print on your printer that will give you free shipping. You may have to take the item to UPS. If you can't do this, tell them that too and they will arrange for them to pick it up from you.
They WILL know that you got the two items. The delivery services keep track of such things. If you don't want two and don't want them to charge you for two, then call them and arrange to send it back.
Just a little FYI. You can refuse to accept a delivery with UPS (Fedex too) and it will get shipped back. If you aren't home and they leave a notice at your door, you can use the tracking number online and submit a return request...or just call them. Even if they left it at your doorstep, you should be able to write refused on it and just bring it back to a UPS store (you can also get them to pick it up I think)...of course this is as long as you haven't opened it. Once you open it, then you have to do the above. Just thought this info might help in the future![]()

They know when you have more than one item because of the tracking number the delivery folks use. It takes them a while, but I guarantee they will charge you for it if you don't return it. Call them and tell them what happened and they will pay the return shipping for you no problem.
We had an instance where Amazon shipped us two of the same Wii games. They sent us a label to send one back. I think I even used the online chat to communicate with them. I just said, you sent me two and I was only charged for one. It was not a big deal and took less than 5 minutes to correct.
