How's this for a pleasant surprise. I am quite accustomed to receiving Overstock e-mails for sales and % off. Today, I received one offering me an opportunity for an on-line coupon to activate. Did not know what to expect, and it never did say what or how much, except that it automatically activated the coupon when I navigated to the website from the e-mail. Put something in the cart for checkout just to see what I would receive. It ended up subtracting $10 from my order, even though I hadn't bought some qualifying amount, like $50 or some such. And right now the shipping was free. And it ended up giving me an extra discount for "store credit" I did not expect. In total, I picked out two items for $4.31 and $6.79 and will receive them for absolutely no OOP. Already received the e-mail order confirmation. Go figure.
Moral of this story, be sure to check your e-mail inbox if you have ever done any business with Overstock.
Subject line was "limited time coupon savings inside".
