I get oatmeal and crackers on there and have a few other staples delivered at regular intervals. I get them in bulk. I don't save much but it's better than carrying bulky items around the grocery store!
I buy coffee with gift certificates I earn doing surveys.

With the price of gas, I think it's important to take how much it costs to drive to the store, etc. into the price of buying from the grocery store. My favorite part about ordering from Amazon is they deliver my groceries right to my doorstep. I don't have to spend a single penny on gas and it saves a lot of hassle!
We're city transplants that now live in a rural area. We can't get international food items in our store. So I order spices and food ingredients that allow us to cook our favorite international dishes. I also order whole bean coffee.
I've ordered coffee a few times when there was a sale on a brand we like. With the Subscribe and Save option you save 15% and shipping is free. You can cancel the subscription at any time.
I've also used gift cards I earned to get those things I would love to try but find too pricey -- things like coconut oil.
Please PM me for trades; the database messes with my mind.

I live in the city close to many grocery stores, but still love how much easier Amazon makes my life. But if I lived in a rural area like you I would use it even more!
When you use Subscribe and Save you get your orders in 2 days so it might be quicker than planning a trip to town for you. Plus, you have a much larger selection on Amazon than even many big city grocery stores. I know a lot of people like you who live away from large stores who absolutely love ordering from Amazon!
I was just reading online about how a bunch of people buy bulk yeast for baking on Amazon. I had never thought of looking there.

Since our household had to start eating gluten-free for medical reasons, I now buy a lot at Amazon as gluten-free products are much cheaper there than at the stores here.
My favorite things to buy there: Gluten Free Mama Coconut Flour Blend, Gluten free Mama Almond Flour Blend, King Arthur gluten free brownie mix & pancake mix, Gluten-free oats, Country Life vitamins (I save a TON buying my vitamins on Amazon).
I have an Android phone and have downloaded the Amazon app. When you open the app, you can search for a product, then click search by scan. Then I can scan the barcode of whatever I've found at a store and it will show me if Amazon carries it, and for what price. I've used this to save money on everything from food to vitamins to basketballs!
