When does ON have their additional %50 off clearance?

Since I'm dressing 5 little ones, I like to REALLY stock up when they have their additional %50 already reduced clearance. But my ON is about 30 minutes away (in the mall), so I don't get a chance to check as often as I like. Since school is right around the corner, might they be having another one soon, to make room?

They typically have one the 2nd week of July. BUT, last year, the sale was widely advertised, and they cancelled at last minute. Some stores actually didn't get notification until a few minutes after opening, so a very select few lucky shoppers got in on it.

I am not sure if they will do it or not this year. I have heard rumors, and went last night, and there was tons of clearance, all marked w/ the prices they use for the sale.

I sure hope they do, this is my all-time fav!!

Last time I got on in this sale, I totally scored, but I missed it completely the last time it was held, since like OP, my ON is about 25 minutes away at the mall.

Last time they did the 50% off clearance was in Jan and I got some great deals for my boys. I went yesterday when the flip-flops were $1 and all of the clearance items were in the front of the store, but its the same stuff thats been on clearance for months now, just the prices keep getting lower, but its sooo picked over. There are a few shirts I would like get ds1, but put them back b/c I *know* in a few weeks the price will be lower and better for my wallet LOL

FYI i was talking w/ a store manager today at Old Navy. I asked her when the additional 50% off clearance sale would happen and she said that there is a major focus on getting rid of clearance right now, BUT she said that since they are already selling lots of their clearance really quick, she DOUBTS they will even have that sale again anytime soon. :-( BUMMER. I guess the clearance is getting a good hit as it is w/o the additional 50% sale... SUCKS!

Not sure if it would be the actual state of their inventory.
What this manager said would encourage you to buy now, that's any store manager would want..

50% off clearance is not a good advantage to the store. Yes, it moves inventory, but requires a good deal of preparation and maintenance : pricing, re-hanging, cleaning, etc. Plus the inventory reductions at this level doesn't bring much in profits, it's like every single customer in grocery store use coupons and save over 70% off reg. prices..

In the stores that I have visited, most of the women's clothing was only 25% off, but there were some parts that were 50% off. I didn't look at the men's clothing as DH has enough new clothing. The children's clothing was largely 50% off original prices - that's from toddler (2 yrs) to the teenagers. They had a lot of items on clearance - mostly girls clothing that I saw, but some boys. Every store is a little different in their inventory as well. So I haven't seen the "additional 50%" to already discounted 25% off items. But in some stores, they still had a lot left of the items. With the $10 off $50 purchase coupons coming out, maybe they are hoping that will boost sales over clearancing the sale items even more?

They are out already in my stores (NY), when I bought something yesterday, they gave it to me. It's valid starting July 18 - July 31. That's an extra 20% discount (except the drawback is you have to spend $50). I imagine that they are probably available in other stores national wide, or will be in very soon since the cpn is valid starting next Friday.
