Eating the right foods may fight Alzheimer's
A Mediterranean style diet - light on red meat and heavy on fruits, vegetables, and whole grains - may reduce your risk for Alzheimer's, a recent study shows. "More studies need to be done before we can know for sure if there is a link," says Good Housekeeping Health Editor Toni Hope. But you may want to consider the diet regardless. "It-s long been associated with lower risks for cardiovascular disease, several forms of cancer, and overall mortality," says Delia Hammock, R.D., Nutrition Director of the Good Housekeeping Research Institute.
