My cousin was just diagnosed with this :(
KOMO-TV - Seattle, Washington | Inflammatory Breast Cancer
This is fairly rare, about 5% of all breast cancer cases are IBC (Inflammatory Breast Cancer). There are symptoms, but usually no lumps. Mammograms also do not pick this up.
Do yourself a favor -- become familiar with the symptoms. If they start happening to you, go see your doctor.

thank you I have passed this on.
thanks for the info.
Great info! I used to work at the American Cancer Society and many women we spoke with knew about breast cancer in situ (localized) and the other "typical" breast cancers but not many were aware of inflammatory breast cancer. It is extremely IMPORTANT to call your doctor immediately if you are bleeding from your nipples, your breasts are hot or red. Many non cancerous conditions can cause these symptoms but it is best to be safe!
Thanks for reminding everyone! Also October is breast cancer awareness month for those of you who did not know or need to be reminded.
Thank you so much. I have had one symptom on that list and am going to the ob next week. I appreciate the info. I had no idea about this kind of cancer.
