Default Totally Exhausted all the time!

I am so exhausted all the time - no matter how much sleep I get. I have no energy when I get home from work - I just sit on the couch all evening. I get 6-7 hours of sleep a night but that doesn't help. I do not work out - I have no energy to walk the dog even. I have told my doctor, was tested for anemia, thyroid, the works, I am totally healthy - everything comes back good. I have had this lack of energy for a long long time.

Anyone else can relate to this? It's not so much that I am tired all the time, just no energy.

Did your doctor check your Vitamin D? You'd be surprised how much a Vitamin D deficiency can make you feel run down and awful.

You might also have sleep apnea.

I can relate but... I do have sleep apnea and the C PAP machine seems to prevent me from sleeping well.

I also have anemia but am waiting to see what the Dr. says on that. He had to do some more tests.

Do you take vitamins? If not I would take at least a multiple.

Def get your vitamin D levels checked. That was part of my problem, besides anemia, which you said you were already tested for. Do you feel rested when you wa ke up in the morning? Maybe you have a sleep disorder.

Maybe having your b12 and vitamin D checked would be something you might think about. b12 deficiency runs in my family and I just drag toosh all day when my levels get low and I forget to take my vitamin. Also, if you are prone to depression you can feel tired, and any number of things. I would certainly speak to your doctor about any concerns you may have because they would be most qualified to determine what may be going on. Perhaps an herbalist would be someone you might talk to if it turns out to be a vitamin thing.

Hope you find your answers, Dog.

It could be your diet. I find when I eat bad, I have less energy. You might want to try eating healthier foods and drinking water to see if that helps.

You took the words right out of my mind (mouth)! Definitely eat more RAW fruits & vegetables...would also check on maybe getting a B12 shot or a Vitamin C shot. Possibly you can try walking/light jogging 30 minutes a day.

I go through periods of the same thing. I will have a couple of months feeling this way then out of the blue I am feeling more energy that last a couple of months. I dont change anything with my eating habits or excersize, so I dont know.

After years of taking my vitamin D and trying to keep it high enough, unexplainable constant pain, the exhaustion and energy... they diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia. Chronic Fatique is part of that.

I do agree with the eating healthier and MAKING yourself get off the couch and start some sort of LIGHT excersize. Even if your exercize is housework without rest untill you are done.

I know what its like when even brushing your own hair wears you out and hurts. I just force myself move or I will end up almost bedridden. Even with my vitamins, healthy foods, and what exersize I can muster; I still go through periods of exhaustion. I will be at work and literaly look for a corner I could sleep in or feeling like crying because I am so tired but I HAVE to work.

I hope you are able to find what works for you soon.
