Default I'm so tired of Back Pain!

I can't take this back pain anymore! Right now, as I am typing this I am sitting in my computer chair slowly moving around in order to keep my back from stiffening up. I have always had some back pain thanks to having DD's up top, but this has just been getting worse and worse for me. It's my lower back that hurts and with a 2 year old who weighs 34lbs, it's not getting any better. I sit, it hurts, I lay down, it hurts, I stand, it hurts.

I can't take anymore of it, and I can certainly stand some pain, but this is just unreal. I almost dropped my son the other day b/c he was fooling around and got all squirmy on me that when I moved w/ him, I tweaked it just right and OMG the pain shot right across my lower back. It's to the point I can barely do anything. I have tried just about everything for this. I can't get on my treadmill lately, b/c of it. I can't do my yoga b/c of it, and stretching just tweaks it more.

I am so over this already that it's time to call the Dr and see what they can do for me. I'm done!

***after I posted this, the little ads that show up under the posts was about how to fix your back pain!!***

If you have insurance, think about finding a good physical therapist. I have suffered with back problems too and last year finally went to a pt and it made a world of difference. They taught me proper stretches for each problem area and if I do them daily I don't have any pain anymore. A good pt can make the difference.

Whoa, that does sound like pure misery. Sorry about that. Have you considered a chirporactor? I know a lot of people blow them off as flakes but there have been several times when Hubs got MAJOR relief from one. Another friend of ours had a litany of problems that were solved when he when to one. It might be worth a shot.

I do have insurance, but couldn't get an appointment for today or tmw, have to call tmw to see if there is anything available for Thursday. Really? My back is killing me, I have a 34lb little boy who needs me to care for him, play with him, pick him up, etc and I have stuff to do. So, have to suck it up for a few more days and hope I can get in on Thursday. *sigh* I do stretch, as I love it! Feels so good, but even attempting to do any form of stretching tweaks it more. I get such a sharp pain from it that I have no choice but to stop.

It really is. I have considered a chiropractor, but I'm not a huge fan of them b/c everyone I know that has ever gone to one has needed to continue to go.....and go.....and go..... If they can fix it after a few sessions, then I am all for it!

Luckily I was at my parents house today so they were a huge help to me w/ my son and I was able to rest my back a bit. This is just ridiculous already. I think part of the problem (what is making it worse) is the bed. It's always bothered me before I moved here, but the bf likes(d) it, but now it's just everyday, and some days it's so bad that I actually roll myself out of bed. I have tried sleeping w/ a pillow under my knees to help take some pressure off of my back, didn't work. Pillow between my legs, didn't work. Bengay just made me smell like my Great Grandmother, heating pad was only a minor help, stretching....ugh....! Then there are days when it doesn't bother me in the least bit.

Go buy yourself an Inversion table and start hanging on it. It DOES wonders!

I swear by them. My Chiropractor pointed me in their direction and I haven't had to go back and see him for almost 2 years.

My friend has one of those, but he lives an hour away. I have no room in this house for it. If I did, I'd have one!!

I know exactly what you are going through! I have had lower back pain for a good 4 years now after falling at work and blowing 3 discs. I have had back surgery which only made things worse. Now i also have constant sciatica along with it. I have stopped taking the lovely pain pills these doctors love to prescribe, and there are days i can't even get out of bed.
I hope that you start to feel better, and hopefully your doctor can figure out what is going on. Back pain is nothing to fool around with!

OP, I totally understand. I did the chiro while I was pregnant and had insurance, but now that I'm a SAHM and don't have insurance, it's $40/visit and she wants me 2x/week for 6 weeks, and we can't afford it.

I ended up doing deep tissue massage in my lower back, since it's the muscles that are tweaked. I am usually good for about a month, and in that time, I stretch, do Yoga and use ice daily to keep my back feeling great.

My massage therapist accepts Spa Finder GC's, which I buy at Costco for a discount $100.00 GC for $75.00, and that's two massages.

My mom has had back pain for a very long time. A MRI showed that she had a cist that was pressing against her nerve muscle right by her lower back.

Yes, You need to see the doctor. They really need to rule out anthing to do with your spine. Both me and hubby have spine problems. Mine went on for over 2 years.

It started with migraines. I got them a lot. It was so awefull. All I could do is lay on the couch and yell at the kids because I was so irritated all the time. Long story short. I have DDD. And they told me that my mri report was normal. I only found out after I requested the offical report from the MRI. Since then it has been so much better. I take muscle relaxers to not get spasms. Only get bad pain once a week or so.

DH has been having what the doctor called "pinched nerves" in his neck. After a year of this off and on they did an MRI. He has a calcium deposit on his spinal cord. They have to go in and cut it out.

You dont want to wait years to get this fixed. I would be asking for xrays and stuff to make sure there is nothing going on. Possably causing you to spasm.
