I am sorry you are feeling so bad. I will be praying for you to get well quickly. I had the flu several times in my life and it is hard. One time I had it and I got it on a Friday afternoon. Felt awful, my husband put me to bed and gave me Nyquil every 4 hours around the clock, chicken noodle and sprite. It took me an hour to walk to the bathroom to take a bath I was so weak. But then I got in bed and slept around the clock just getting up to take nyquil and soup and then sleeping again. By Sunday night I felt great and no longer sick but rested on that Monday and Tuesday to make sure I didn't have a relapse. Drink plenty of fluids, take nyquil and sleep around the clock. Nyquil knocks me out so I was able to keep sleeping.
    Please pray for my family.
Please keep Elizabeth in your prayers. She lost her Father on 2/19/2012.

Decided to go ahead and go to ER on Sunday evening. Ruled out pneumonia and flu. Called it bronchitis and gave me Z pack. Coughing has not really improved much, but I do feel a little better. Discovered I think I'm allergic to Vicks salve. Last night, I waited up until midnight to take more coricidin, gave it a half hour to start working, lathered up with the salve, went up to bed, started coughing, couldn't catch my breath, and the coughing was so severe I was getting severe pain in my head and seeing stars. I coughed almost an hour straight. Wiped off the salve, got some tea, and sat literally over the humidifier and in 10 minutes the coughing was gone and just the faintest wheezing. After thinking about it, my cold didn't get really bad until I'd started using the vicks. I also had more coughing when I'd use a Hall's cough drop too. Must be the mentholated stuff in them. Weird thing is, none of my kids have gotten sick. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying it stays that way. Thanks everyone for your prayers and thoughts.

Zithro is great for the inflammation in the lungs too!

If you can get some mucinex...it can be a bit expensive but it has guifisen. which is an expectorant. Which can help get that gunk out of your lungs too.

    Hope you feel better soon.

    Glad you went in!!
