    Default ZERO Energy

I have zero energy...all the time, always exhausted...even showering and brushing my teeth - takes me half the evening to muster up the energy to do those things.... I have had my thyroid tested, blood tested for everything.... doctor says everything comes back good and fine.... that it is just stress - stress for 2 years?? I am young, it just doesn't make sense.... I don't know how to get more energy.....or what could be wrong?

No it doesn't make sense. When I was like that I had anemia and low thyroid.

Did you ask for a copy of your labs? I always do. I can't tell you how many times a Dr. told me all was fine or normal when clearly it was not based on the labs.

Other things that could cause this could be diabetes, allerigies, sleep apnea or the side effect of a medication.

They tested me for diabetes - it came back negative....

Would Vitamin D be a normal test with the blood work....they ran normal blood work and diabetes.

My thyroid came back fine. I wasn't anemic.

Yes I asked for a copy and received a copy of my blood work. They had me fast before the blood work so that the diabetes test would be accurate.

It's been going on for nearly 2 years so I doubt it's allergies - I have no other symptoms that would mimic allergies....

If it is chronic fatigue - what causes that and how do I get rid of it.

Sometimes I skip the grocery store even when I need food - cause I just don't have the energy to go to the store, get a basket, shop around, check out. I feel like someone my age (very young) shouldn't have this much of a lack of energy.

Is there something in particular that I can request to be tested for that wouldn't have been in the standard complete blood workup?

I am probably due for another exam - since I skipped my annual exam this year, it's been about a year and 1/2 since all the tests were run but the symptoms are still there and haven't changed.

I would start with a vitamin D supplement...it's cheap and vitamin Deficiency can happen to anyone...even children.

How much sun do you get? are you outside a lot?

also honestly after about age 25 I have FELT OLD LOL.

Also you could have sleep apnea and not even know it, sleep apnea will cause you to feel exhausted all the time.

You have to specifically ask for some things to be checked, like Vitamin D levels, Vitamin B12, I had mine checked not too long ago, and my Vitamin D levels were WAY low. That was the only thing I was deficient in. I've started a supplement, and my energy levels seem to be improving slowly......

If Vitamin D is the one related to the sun -they tested me for that ( I will pull my results to verify) because she said that my results were exceptionally good - even in something ( I am thinking it's the Vitamin D) and most of her patients are low in that.... I remember being very surprised - cause she said -she never writes excellent on blood results - there's one that even with women who are in the sun alot, tend to have something low - I bet that's the Vitamin D but mine were great across the board (I remember thinking at the time - did the lab mix my samples up with someone elses? Cause I don't eat very healthy (no fruits or veggies) so I was very surprised to get such a good report.... I guess it is always possible that my results got mixed up with some health nut's.
