My DH had his out last Friday (8 days ago), and he bled for 24-36 hrs. Not like a ton of blood, but he could taste it. He tends to bleed a lot, so we weren't toally surprised about it. It should be better today. If it doesn't stop by tonight, give them a call.

Hope your DS is feeling okay! My poor hubby is just now starting to eat normal foods again after a soft foods and liquid diet for a week.

On these hurt when they come out. The bleeding will stop usually within 24 hours but the worst days are days 2 through about 3 or 4. The swellling will start and with that the pain will start. Use frozen peas to help with the swelling and continue using any medication they said to use on time or stay on top of the advil. Good luck to you.

It seemed for a while there were people getting theirs out right and left around here so if you need more help you can probably get those threads to come up with a search.

They are not longer bleeding and he is eating chicken soup. And being a teenager he is so ready for real food. He can now go 6 hours with no pain meds so that is good. @ amy hope your hubby is doing well.

I had mine cut out at 16. I dont remember them bleeding much at all. Cut out is probly very different than them being pulled tho.

I had mine pulled awhile back. Do not remember about the bleeding, but it was painful and I couldn't eat much food...liquids.....

Just sending hugs to your DS, hope he feels better soon.

I had a back tooth extracted Thursday, bled terribly, finally used a tea bag and that did the trick. However, I had alot of swelling and now have a terrible bruise.
