I'm glad you're fine! DH has severe migraines, but his numbness isn't stroke-like. It's random body parts falling asleep.
The first time I got a bad episode of this I was about 6 weeks prego with DS2. I first got a faint headache with the 'out of focus' vision and thought my blood sugar was a little low. Went in and ate something and closed my eyes to rest. Then my whole right side started going numb from my foot and progressed up my leg, then arm then face. After that I started not being able to form words (this is the worst part of it). When I talked the words I was trying to say and the words that were coming out of my mouth were FAR from the same. Basically my sentences were nonsense and I couldn't tell anyone what was going on. Then it ends with a bad headache, sensitivity to light & sound and blurred vision. My headaches usually were horrible for a few hours then just a nuisance type headache for around 3 days straight. I would also feel nausous when the headache was at its worst.
Scarey at first but once you know what to expect it's just hell but not as scary. The worst part was I was home alone with DS1 when it happened the first time and couldn't even call anyone to come help me since I couldn't talk right or even dial the phone.

The one that started talking jibberish on live television. Yes she was experiencing a migrain. They confirmed that a couple days later.

a doctor I went to prescribed Midrin for my migraines but it didn't really help. anyone else ever try that? I always have numbness. I guess I am just used to it. doctors don't do anything.
