Almost had a heart attack....

well I took a break for the past 3 wks. I felt over run with everyday stress. home stress. work.. just everything at once. well it took the best of me last Thurdsay night. Everything was so overwhelming that i started hypervenhilating at work. I had chest pains my arm went numb. My Supervisor took me to the ER i tried to talk buy then my face started going numb. I was so scared i thought omg am i having a heart attack? I laid in the hosptal bed for 3 hrs All my muscles from head to toe all locked . I couldnt move anything. i couldnt catch my breath. I had every test under the sun done in 10 mins. Xray.. blood tests.. MRI.. ect.. I started Hypervenhilating more.. it threw me into an anxiety attack.
I have a dr appt on monday to find out more and see what goes on from there. other than that everything else is ok.

OMG how absolutely terrifying that must have been. I guess your home now? What did the hospital tell you? I have high anxiety so I've had a couple of attacks that have felt like heart attacks, two of those being on the operating table during c-sections. All the things you mentioned above were included in those attacks except the arm numbing...

I hope it just turns out to be an anxiety issue and not something with your heart. Sending you my prayers hun.

Wow you poor thing. That is very scary even to read about. Hope it gets figured out and that it's something simple. In the meantime give yourself a break.

it turned out to be an extreme anxiety attack. i have asthma and was thankful that didnt kick in when i started hypervenhilating. im not allowed any caffiene. energy drink type things. I was Drinking Amp's at least 2 times a day and they think they might have something do with it too . So just taking a precaustion for now till I see the dr monday to see if i can have my caffiene back.

You take care of yourself girl! Glad you are doing better now, and hope they figure out how to prevent this from happening again.....and you get to have your coffee fix back!

I know that must have been so frightening to experience. I'm glad you feel better, but be sure to ask about options to help you manage the anxiety. There are drug-free methods such as meditation and yoga. I know many people are opposed to taking the anxiety drugs, so I just thought I'd throw that out there.

bump for those wondering where i am. Just taking a break for a little while. Everything is ok. I can Have my caffiene back. Just a bit stressed. Found out my dog is allergic to plastic.. sigh.. My tooth broke and kinda hurts. i just wanna be in a round rubber room just to scream.
