    Nurse Ice Pack Recipe

I found this recipe at work for a homemade flexible ice pack. I haven't tried it yet, but the nurse who pointed it out to me said it works really well. With sunburns and pulled muscles being a part of most of our summers, I thought it might be useful. Just remember to limit the time used, and to put a towel between your skin and the pack - we don't want any frostbite!!

    Ice Pack Recipe

Mix four parts ice with one part rubbing alcohol in a freezer bag (double bag will work better and prevent leaking). This mixture will not freeze solid and will conform to the body part. Store the ice pack in a freezer for later use.

Thank you! Guess who will be buying rubbing alcohol my next trip out LOL

DD is forever misplacing ours/forgetting to put them back in the freezer/etc. I'd love to have some extras. Plus I like sticking them in a small cooler in my car during hot summer days when I'm doing multiple store runs so cold stuff stays cold (melting ice cream anyone?).
