C. Difficile & Probiotics?

i had a c dif which came back 3 times..they then put me on vanocin 30days 4 times a day and that cured it

Did they do any kind of tapering or pulse dosing? Had you taken vancocin for 14 days prior to take it for 30 and it not cured it?

i had not taken vanacin previously(donnot remember what i got for the4 other 2 c/dif)..The third time infection came back they did the vanacin

Looks like I may be relapsing with C. Difficile yet again..... For those of you who have had this and done the fecal transplant.... how aware are you during the procedure and how uncomfortable is it?

And did your insurance company pay for it or was it considered elective?
