Advair does have some terrible side effects, I used it for years and had so many of the side effects. Last year I finally found out that my asthma was caused by gluten allergy, so now I am off advair and completely asthma free. I was on asthma medicine since the day I was born and no doctor every cared to figure out what was causing it... they just prescribed medicines. Definitely try everything you can to figure out what is causing it, you are right to be skeptical!
