I would always get another opinion. Things may have changed too with his vision over the last 6 months. He is going through growth spurts and such that also effects his eye sight.
Good luck!!!
I had posted on here previously about my little boy (3 years old) blinking a lot when he would watch tv.
Well we took him in to a pediatric opthamologist who dilated his eyes, did a full exam, and said he could find nothing wrong with his eyes. That was a couple months ago.
Well since then, he has stopped the blinking.
However, he goes to mothers day out one day a week and the Lions club did a vision screen on him and he failed..needing a referral. She said his numbers were fairly high for farsightedness.
I called the pediatric opthamologist we took him to and they are going to talk with him to see if we should do anything else.
Anyone had an issue similar? Do you think I should seek another opinion?
Thanks!

I don't put a nickel's worth of stock in tests done anywhere but the doctor's office by certified professionals because I always found when done anywhere else, they did NOT find the problem when one existed. For example, none of my girls' schools caught their vision problems (but I already knew about them) and my youngest was tested for scoliosis in junior high and they did not catch it even though she has a pronounced case.
Your eye doctor will just do the vision portion of the test, not the dilation, etc., if it was done recently and then you can determine what to do.
Most likely the Lions club made a mistake but if they didn't you are on it early and if his vision does need correcting he will see sooooo much better afterward.

I was deaf since, a little child and no one discovered it , until i was 18 yrs old.. then it took another 3 yrs, to find out , I could wear a hearig air.
Which I was told I couldn't wear, earlier.
So keep trying, do some of your own tests,.. research some things, on the net... maybe make up some of your own signs , see how far he can see but never give up!
Visualize a really good optic dr, that you will meet and it'll hapen.
Good luck to you :)
