    Default stinky problem

I had a physical last week and asked my Internal Med Dr. about what I feel like is excessive sweating and that my anti perspirant/deo. wasn't working as well as before. He said he didn't think so, but I'm thinking after years of using the same product - Mitchum - (because it works and I love it when there are triples) maybe its not working for me anymore.

Been soaking my shirts in Oxy Clean and other stuff because they stink and the sweat stains, one armpit worse than the other, and I don't want to set in the stain by drying them in the dryer.

    Anyone??

    thx

For years I've noticed that after using a deoderant for several months it seems to lose effectiveness so I had to switch around. The exception has been Dry Idea. I LOVE this stuff. It's a clear gel (at least the one I use is).

So the Mitchum is an anti-perspirant and deo?

If all your physical results came back good and no hormone or thyroid problem is responsible you could check into getting a prescription deoderant. My youngest uses one - I think it's called Drysol.

Also, some meds are responsible for increased sweating. Started anything new recently?

my husband SWEARS you get "immune" to a deodorant after so long of using it! He has to switch about every 4-6 months.

What is the active ingredient and what percentage is it.

I have found outside clinical stuff Secret has the highest (but you must look and make sure you get one with a high amount).

    Mine has 19%

    Clinical is 20%

in comparison Dove is generally about 14%

also for stockpilers deodorant does have an expiration date so using deodorant that is 5 plus years old is probably not going to work as well.

Finally - someone else has experienced this! About a year ago I asked others on another site whether this happens to any of them and some thought I was nuts. Lots of women said they'd used the same one for 20 years.

I agree with other posters....I have to switch deos every 2-3 weeks. I just rotate them, if not...after 1 hour I'm sweaty and gross feeling....and I'm not a sweaty person or anything. Simply grab your stockpile items and use something new :)

i noticed after my first baby was born, i was sweating lots more than normal. continued thru the second....i wonder if we undergo a hormone change after pregnancy and this changes our "stinkiness".

i did change to a different secret brand and it is working better than the normal secret i was working..
