Default Do Blood Clots Make you Tired??

I'm 28 weeks pregnant. I know pregnancy makes you tired anyway, but I am BEYOND tired. I also still have NO appetite.

I've asked the hematologist and my OB about both and they said no, it's not the blood clots. They also said it's not side effects from the Lovenox.

I have no explanation. I am on modified bedrest, so perhaps I'm exhausted from doing nothing. No ideas on the lack of appetite.

I've actually lost 13lbs so far this pregnancy.

All of my labs, sugar, blood pressure, etc., have come back normal (except for failing the 1hour glucose test). I'm still waiting for the results of the 3-hour one.

The OB said "slightly, but not enough to warrant iron supplementation"

I felt that way with my DD.... I was HORRIBLY tired. Sometimes I wouldn't even get out of bed for most of the day... It went away after she was born, though. Good luck!

Your body is making a baby and recovering from an illness (blood clots). You're also not eating well, so I think your body has every reason to feel tired. Even borderline anemia will add to that.

I did google it and some people complained of tiredness from Lovenox, even though dr.s say it's not the meds. I also was on Lovenox during pregnancy and had low iron so I was tired, and still am. Your blood sugar might be off, and that can cause tiredness too. The bedrest will also add to that tiredness because doing nothing will make you tired. I think it's just a combination of everything going on in your life right now, and not just one specific thing. Just take care of yourself, and try to eat enough so you're not losing weight and hopefully everything will get better once the baby comes. Maybe try to eat more iron rich foods and see if that helps any. Hope you feel better!

Thanks!! I was thinking it was probably a little bit of everything multiplying and combining to make me utterly exhausted! I went to Target & 4 Walgreens today and you'd think I'd ran a marathon!
