She started me on 50,000 units of vit d2 once a week and said that it would help. It did not help with the pain. I went a month taking more Motrin and Aleve and finally told her she was going to have to give me something stronger. She gave me Mobic and after 1 day I have not had any more bone pain. Please anyone that has recently had a child and is having bone pain get your vit d checked. My calcium level was fine cause my body was taking the calcium out of my bones. This is what my old doctor did; she didn't check my vit d.
I had the same problem after my DD was born. I breastfed as well, and to be truthful I really didn't take care of my self the way I should have. I believed them when they said if I didn't eat right, it would leach the calcium from my bones. But I don't think I figured it would happen as fast as it did. But oh my the hip pain, I could barely walk up stairs. It was low calcium/ vit D as well.
