:: American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association, Inc ::
The American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association (AARDA) in collaboration with the National Coalition of Autoimmune Patient Groups (NCAPG) cordially invites you to attend its upcoming 2010 Autoimmune Diseases Summit.
The summit will be held in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at The Liaison Hotel.
Titled “The Global State of Autoimmunity Today,” the one-day forum will bring together key stakeholders in the autoimmune disease arena to share information on research, incidence, cost, and risk as well as to discuss the medical, social and economic impact of autoimmune disease (AD), a major American health issue.
Fifty million Americans suffer from one or more of the 80 known ADs including lupus, celiac disease, scleroderma, multiple sclerosis, polymyositis, vasculitis, autoimmune hepatitis, Sjögren's syndrome, Crohn’s disease, Graves' disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. Autoimmunity is the underlying cause of these diseases.
AARDA is the nation's only non-profit organization dedicated to bringing a national focus to autoimmunity as a category of disease and a major women's health issue. AARDA advances these goals through fostering collaborative research efforts in order to find better treatments and a cure for all autoimmune diseases.
To that end, the summit will feature a series of discussions and updates that capture the historic perspective, current status and future innovations in tracking, diagnosing, treating and curing autoimmune diseases.
Please join us on March 3 to help us in bringing a national focus to autoimmune disease research, awareness, and treatment.
