Re: Morning Sickness
Yes, but still looking for morning sickness advice. I could have started a new thread, but thought I would just bump an old one about the subject.

Re: Morning Sickness
I got those preggy pops. the weird flavors and such helped me oddly enough! Most of the time i just dealt with it. WIth my first i was working. Kinda sucked. I have to call someone to the front to watch the register so i could be sick and then get fresh air! Lucky enough i never really got sick out in public other then waves of nausea at work but came with enough warning where i could get to the restroom! Lasted until about 20 weeks. WIth my daughter it lasted longer and then once it subsided i developed gallstones! She did me in! 4 mths after i had her had my gallbladder removed. I always took my prenatals before bed. Also taking them on an empty stomach will do ya in as well. So take em with ahearty breakfast if your gonna stick to taking them in the morning. If it gets really bad to where it gets hard to function you can talk to your dr about a prescription for the nausea. Much better then getting dehydrated, wich is another thing stay hydrated. later in the pregnancy when your not hydrated enough you will get painful braxton hicks! Not fun! WIsh they had some miracle morning sickness drug. But i guess thats part of being a woman. I dont think men could deal with the constant nausea theyd act like they were dying. and here we are still working and trying not to puke on people while carrying another human being! Just think we are able to do something men cant and we are better at it too!

Re: Morning Sickness
Ha! I did have the baby...on the 4th of July. A perfect little girl who is now almost 6 weeks old.
Fortunately, the morning sickness stopped when the second trimester started.
I did, however, find a lot of the advice on this thread helped. I started carrying a ziploc bag with me everywhere in case I lost it. Eating small meals really helped a lot. My doctor also had me switch prenatals. After trying multiple brands and with no success, she told me to stop taking them until my stomach was better.
Good luck. It's no fun, but it sure was worth it when my little one finally got here.

Re: Morning Sickness
Instead of prenatals, I did Flintstones at night. I also did B6 and Unisom at night per my doctor. Seemed to help alot. I never threw up, just had constant nausea 24/7 for the first trimester + 2 very long weeks. Good luck to the Cooper House!

Re: Morning Sickness
I didn't have much morning sickness, but when I did, sour things worked well for me. Lemonade, pickles, etc. They have Preggie Pops that are sour too. A friend of mine swore by them, Motherhood Maternity carries them, I'm sure other places do too.
