I picked up some D3 at Walgreens last night. I am hoping it works as well for my issues as it has for Meems. Thank you for posting all that info.

Good luck momof4inmi, it takes a little bit...one thing I majorly noticed even before the pain being helped, was my mood! WOW! And energy!

Wed night I took my 50K...thursday I was down, Fri pain but better, Sat pain, but much better..today I was back. I'm hoping once I discuss the D2 vs D3 issue w/ my Dr. we can get that straightened out so they're all good days.

Definitely check out the D3. It will make a huge difference.

It does take a bit to get adjusted to such a large dose at one time. I had some nausea for the first couple of weeks, but that subsided in time. I agree that the energy boost was incredible. My doctor told me that she didn't know how I was walking upright before I started the high-dose supplements. I was sleeping 12 to 14 hours a day the week before I started the supplements, and I would still wake up exhausted.

Mom2Lucas & Meems-glad you are feeling better. Just remembered something that concurs with what you said when I took Vita D3 50,000 IU'S prescription once a week.
That day, I was unusually hungry, nauseous, irritable with a headache and had the most wild, vivid dreams. I always felt much better the next day.

I found out why: Vita D is really a hormone!
Not really a vitamin per my Rheumatolgist and research.
That is why it has over 2,000 chemical reactions in the body, and has so many widespread effects.
That is also a reason to not take too much, and have toxic levels.

As with any overdose of a hormone,
it can also cause permanent damage if D3 levels are well over 100iu/dl.
Since it is bound to our fat cells, once toxic, it is hard to clear.
Short of drugs to take it out of the system, weight/fat loss is the only other way.
That is why those who lose a great deal of weight have low Vita D3 levels, and need to get their blood levels checked.

Glad you are feeling better!!!

Does anyone know how this can effect little kids?

I am always looking for ANYTHING that might make my 4 year old DD better

She has started getting chronic pain in her knees and ankles.
