Re: Have you had your vitamin D levels checked lately? interesting info... after I had DS I was asked at the hospital to participate in a clinical study on vitamin d + breastfeeding. I remember in the papers it involved taking 10,000 IU vit D/ day <or placebo>and going in for bloodwork each month(also giving milk samples and the baby's urine would be tested) and also to go in for evaluation for depression. I declined to participate only because I was afraid taking an excess of vitD could possibly cause a kidney stone(not sure if that is a possible cause of stones but I had one while pregnant w/dd and that was enough for me to try very hard to avoid them... LOL) |
