Hey there, Its been awhile since the OP wrote this...I wonder how you are doing and what was the outcome of your MRI?

I guess I am the only person here writing that I have MS and was diagnosed in 2005 after I lost some of the vision in my right eye. It came back after about 3 wks, but boy was it a scary time. It is called Optic Neuritis and is one of the many common symptoms of MS. I am 30 y/o now and suffer from migraines, muscle weakness, numbness in my limbs, just this past sunday I had a horrible muscle spasm in my right thigh that locked my leg bent for about 5 mins...it hurt so bad that both my legs hurt still today from my big toe tendon to up my shins...some days are good and some are bad. I have 3 young children ages 10, 5 & 3. I feel fatigued most of the time and can't really be in the heat too long...

please feel free to PM me if you have any questions or just want to talk.

    THanks!

You aren't alone, I have MS as well, diagnosed definately August 16, 2006. I'm 50 yrs old, almost 51 now. I lived with the possible MS diagnosis for three plus years before it was definately diagnosed, and it was that ear/eye test thing, can't remember now what it was called, but the eye part is what gave me the diagnosis.

I remember my first (looking back obviously) symptom was gosh, 11 years ago, we had gone to Kings Dominion up north of Richmond VA, and we went up to the top of the tower there, and wow did I get dizzy looking out, I'd never had problems with heights till that day, scared the daylights out of me.

MS hits everyone differently, that's what makes it so hard to deal with, you just never know. You can look and seem perfectly fine on the outside, but be going through hell on the inside.

Feel free to send me a PM anytime as well, any of ya :D

There is a good book "Thriving with Your Autoimmune Disorder A Woman's Mind-Body Guide" by Simone Ravicz that covers all autoimmune diseases, MS being one of them. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and it can take many years before a definite diagnosis can be made. These diseases, Lupus, Graves, Fibro, MS, RA are all in the same family of autoimmune diseases.
It does stink being so tired all the time and lets not talk about the pain...

There's been a lot of recent research on MS complications & vitamin D deficiency, so please make sure those levels are kept in check..

guess I should of added in my post, MS is not my only issue, second being my neck problems (had herniated a disk which took two years to diagnose, leaving me with permanent spinal cord damage, and have blown two more disks since then) and both those issues makes it difficult to say...this symptom belongs to this problem...there's really no way to know what causes what with me.
