HELP Sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I have the flu..... well, i am guessing it was the flu and now i have the "something else"......

started out like a cold.... ok, no biggie.... then went on to the flu, i am guessing because i have the fever and the cough and the chest congestion and the HORRIBLE sinus......

finally got the fever gone (took four days) and now ihave this chest congestion that will not stop. i feel like i am breathing thru a straw and half of it is filled with water......

then ON CHRISTAMAS day, i took a case of "sick stomach".... i have been eating pepto chews and anti- diarearra?(sp) pills and still have "issues".....

I take everything and nothing is working on the sinus and the chest congestion.....

this is the first time i have been on the computer in days......

and also, i am sooo tired.... I fell asleep during the "jesus" story that DH tells every year before the kids can open presents....

So now that i have complained about all that..... what remedies do you guys have for me?????? I can deal with everything but the chest congestion..... i cough and cough and it hurts... some "stuff" comes up, but it just rattles when i breath and etc.....

Ihave been taking tylenol sinus and congestion and also, the pills from alkaseltzer... nothing is breaking this mess up...

    thanks for listening.... stephanie

The diarrhea may be caused by sinuses draining at night time....

steph I'm so sorry! It sounds like you're having a really rough time. I've never tried it but have heard it works -- have you tried that mucinex stuff?

Being pregnant, I miss my Advil cold and sinus.. I was taking other stuff and it just wasn't working! I was desperate... I went and got a Neti pot and I was back on the med within days...

If it goes on for much longer I might go see the doctor just to make sure it hasn't become a sinus infection.

Good Luck! I hope you get to feeling better!

Ohhh, I am so sorry you are sick, sounds miserable. I think you need to go to the Doctor.
Almost sounds like broncitis(sp?) and I am worried about the breathing problem!!! Hope you feel well soon.

I'd definitely recommend a doctor visit, Mucinex and vitamins esp. a good multi and vit. C. Hope you are feeling better really soon.

I also highly recommend seeing a Dr asap.

The tiredness and the inability to breath are signs of bronchitis minimally. The water comment is worrisome. You need anti-biotics to help your body fight and remove the phlegm.

    I had bronchitis. Not fun.

HI, thanks... i have had bronchitis before as well, and i am thinking maybe you are right.... as to the Dr... no insurance here or i would have already been .... lol.. and Dh's truck is down so no telling how long i will have to try to make the money in the bank last....LOL... but i may have to go eventually.... money or no....

as to the mucinex... i was taking a different brand but still supposed to be the same thing, and i have had no luck......

Derk...... i was thinking it was the med i was taking, but one of the kids has that part as well, so i am thinking maybe not....LOL.... i am wondering if it is not an intestional thing going around...... on top of the other stuff i have , i am NOT feeling very well....LOL.... but you are coerrect, the sinus draining does upset a stomach......

well, i am tirede and i wanted to post a few things for auctions,.. so i am going to do that then take a nap.......LOL..... got the kids settled for breakfast and am going to get DH up ..... when mommma ain't happy nobody's happy......LOL........ ohh the evilness of it all........ LOL....

    thanks guys

I had the stomach flu for about a week about a week and 1/2 ago. I feel your pain.. i didnt have the congestion or anything like that..just my stomach..i couldnt eat for a week..cause anytime i did i was either throwing up and/or coming out the other end too lol

myself and bdad and brother had it as well too.

i heard a couple other people say they had it too. thankfully my kids didnt get it.

hope you feel better soon.. i didnt take anything..just let it run its course
but since you have congestion too i wouldnt know what to suggest other than going to the dr.

i dont have insurance either so i gotta be pretty bad off before ill go see one.

    get that rest!

I would recommend you go to a med center. I'll bet $50 bucks you have pneumonia which is a secondary condition of influenza. Dont delay or you could end up in the hospital.
