Tired of all the doctor appointments

I just got a call back from the nurse. She was very nice. She said that because of the uterus, and also because I have one kidney (born that way) they need to check if the cervix is opening and also check the organs. I asked her if this is something that will need to be done the entire pregnancy, and she said no, unless there is a problem, the next appointment will be it until later on when they need to check the growth.

I understand that, and even though its a hike there, it's worth it. I just wanted SOMEONE to explain to me what they are doing and why.

I'm glad you finally got some answers! I find it odd the doctor didn't take the time to sit down with you and explain (in detail), what to expect by way of tests, etc., so you could be prepared! Good luck to you!

I agree. This is one of the reasons my Dr has been disapointing me lately. I have always liked him, but since I got pregnant he seems to have no bed side manner. Perhaps he does not realize that since this is my first, I have no clue what to expect:shrug7:

Well, I'm glad you got some answers, finally, but I'm also surprised no one sat down and discussed everything that is happening with you. Maybe you should get some reccommendations for another doctor. The LAST thing you need to worry about is whether or not the doctors and nursing staff will communicate with, as they SHOULD be doing. This is my first pregnancy, too, and I will be absolutely sure that someone answers ALL my questions and tells me what the heck is going on.
