$3 for empty ink cartridges?

Can someone tell me which empty cartridges give $3? I know I can only redeem 5 per day but I don't know which are accepted. Right now, I have 3 Epson brand empty cartridges. I also have 4 empty Office Max versions for an HP printer.

Also, are there any rules when it comes to redeeming the credit?

I'm thinking I can buy a lot of my office supplies with the money from these cartridges.

i know at office max they told me the credit is for any thing in store... mine are lexmark.. not sure of the hp ones.. but i do believe they told me those are accepted too..

From Office Max's website:Recycle any HP, Lexmark, and Dell Ink or Toner Cartridge and save $3 off your in-store purchase. Limit 5 recycled cartridges per day. $3 minimum purchase per recycled cartridge required. Save even more with the purchase of OfficeMax brand ink and toner. Come into an OfficeMax store for details.I always go to Staples, they will accept ANY empty cartridge!

Not anymore

Only select cartridges are accepted now as on the 19th of febuary the program changed. Also rewards are now tied directly into your member card )-=.

I went in on the 29th of Feb and was able to get the $3 credit with no mention of a reward card, and without them even looking at the cartridge. The man in front of me used five, and again, nothing was said about a rewards card, or looking at the ones he had either. Wonder if that is regional, or?

FYI Staples gives $3 credit too (I have HP) and you can use three per purchase. So DH used three and I used three and got free stuff to use in our yard sale along with other goodies.

So if Office Max doesn't come through try Staples if you have one around.

New Facts-
All stores are changing over. It is a regional rollout but all are changing. Some already have and just havn't had the meeting on how to load the credit on the card. (It is like Krogers card program, scan $30 prescription credit to your card etc.)

Limit to 25 cartridge credits per quarter.

Limit to 3 cartridges a day

Epson is not supported

If you remember they had a promotion a couple weeks ago stating that if you brought a generic cartridge in to recycle, you recieved $15 towards your rewards account. My thinking is that this is going to happen sometime soon if that promotion worked well

when i went to turn my empty cartridges in to office depot i was told they dont do that anymore. no reams of paper or nothing like that.
