$3 for empty ink cartridges?

Yeah, OfficeMax's program will accept HP, Dell, and Lexmark cartridges, with a limit of 5 per day. Supposedly Canon & Epson are not participants of the program. I think it's just rumor about the rewards card. They've never prompted me for a card when I bring in my cartridges.

I found a brand new expired (2003) HP cartridge at Savers for $.99 and turned it in for $3 at Officemax when I bought something yesterday.
