HI College Survival Kit

I want to put together 2 "college survival kits" for seniors at the school I am currently working at. It is in an urban area, and we are holding a dance for our varsity althletes after their awards ceremony and are looking for prizes for them. So I though of donating a girls basket and a boys basket for 2 graduating seniors from my stockpile. I need ideas for the wording. I am looking for something similar to the economic survival basket that was posted here (btw I "borrowed" that idea for Christmas and DHs aunt LOVED it. She had just lost her job and it worked out well) I would need to put this basket together this weekend, so any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks

OK - I know this post is old but since there's lots of college freshmen about to head out in the next couple months here's some ideas anyways...

Coffee mug with single serve instant coffees and assortment of teas, sugar packets and whatnot, hot cocoa packets
Basic school supplies - pens, calculator, binders, notebooks, binder clips
A small desk set (pen holder, stapler, etc)
Chocolate!!!
Microwave popcorn
Basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, razor, body wash) in a carrier
Laundry detergent - Purex 3 in 1 maybe?
And given that they are sporty, throw in an ace bandage, some sportscreme, an ice pack, and a few Thermacare heat pads too. Once you hit the college level you train a lot harder and injuries are common.

Wal-Mart has fairly large shower caddys in lots of bright colors for $3.50. They seem really sturdy and it would be cute to put the stuff in there so even the container is a present in itself. Any snack food you might have would be a welcome addition, college students are always looking for food!

My sister is graduating next year (2010) and heading to college and I am planning on putting together a stockpile basket for her. She already "shops" my stockpile and has told me she will continue doing so when she moves to college...she loves "the WalMart in my basement"

Anyways, I'm planning on using a laundry basket for the main holder, and I will put laundry detergent, towels and etc. in it. I also plan to find a shower caddy and give her razors, shampoo, etc. in there....and I also want to get her a big (and by big I mean BIG) purse (thats what all the girls around here in lieu of a backpack...) for her textbooks and fill it with school supplies. I'll arrange everything in the laundry basket and send her off....can't believe my little sister is all grown up and going to college

I've also heard of people putting the gifts in a small waste paper basket...college kids can always use those!

I work on this type of basket year round for my kids' friends.
I use a storage "milk crate" as the basket & add -
paper towels, Febreeze, box of tissues, razor, shave cream, body wash, All Small & Mighty, box of dryer sheets, toothbrush, toothpaste, micro popcorn, Campbells soup @ hand, Chex Mix, gum..... since I work on it for a long time, I come up with a huge variety of free/cheap things - tweezers, pantyliners, shampoo, conditioner, bandaids, cough drops, Pringles, Cereal cups.....
I have alot of fun making them & the kids love them!
